It all began back in 1982 with Jim and one dump truck, hauling for a local ready-mix plant. A year later, the first digger was purchased "The American". She was large, noisy, and tough as nails. Jim began digging ditches, hauling stone, and excavating basements.

As the years moved forward, family members joined the team, including Jim's wife (Sue), sister (Janis), two nephews (Jeremy and Jeremiah), and daughter (Jamie). Jim obtained licenses to install septic systems and perform soil testing, allowing the types of services offered to grow as well.
